Journey of a startup: Day 69

I’ve moved to a different task management system. I’ve been talking to my videographer and he was telling me about building a 2nd brain. One video led me to another and I started using Roam Research and ditched these other tools like Trello and Google Sheets for task management and note-taking. I’m now just in one place with tags and pages all over the place with all my thoughts connected. So far so good.

I’m making progress on all fronts. The company is finally established and I’ll be legit. For now, I’m using free accounting software to keep track of my expenses.

My marketing and SEO expert is taking care of my on-page needs and I have my market researchers on stand-by while I review their latest reports.

On product development, I’m starting to build features again until I can raise some funds. I don’t know why I stopped building.

NEVER STOP BUILDING

I have a lot of test code from various projects, and if I start cleaning things up, it would make up the foundations for the rest of the app. It’s time to start performing surgery on the current code to get this MVP done as quickly as possible. Now that I have my wireframes finished up, what was initially and mistakenly estimated at a few million dollars, then down to a few hundred thousand dollars, is probably going to cost me about ten thousand dollars, and even knock off a few months of development time. Maybe even get it done in a few weeks. I can start building traction on my own while getting feedback from others. I can skip over pre-seed and make it straight to seed if I can this thing finish and out there to enough people.
